Description
Join us on TuesdayOctober 13th, 2020 at 9:00AM for a free VIRTUAL Zoom Networking meet-up.
Our presenters this month will be Cypress Mayor Rob Johnson and Cypress City Manager Peter Grant who will give an over of the Cypress Ballot Measure, Measure P, on the November 3rd Ballot.
Measure P will make some changes to the Cypress Charter, the governing document for the city of Cypress. Charter changes require a majority approval by the voters. These amendments provide language changes to update Voter Noticing, Election Procedures, and the formal process for filling a Council Vacancy. Mayor Johnson and Peter Grant will explain why the changes are needed and answer attendee questions
Mayor Rob Johnson is serving his second term on the Cypress City Council, and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration-Marketing from CSULB and an Associate of Arts Degree from Long Beach City College. He’s in his second term as Mayor and his final year on the City Council.
Peter Grant has been Cypress’ City Manager since 2014. Partnering with the City Council and the city’s top-notch employee team, he has helped the city strengthen its finances, support its remarkable business park, and make important investments in parks and infrastructure.
Virtual Attendees can provide a door prize to help promote their business. A drawing will be held at the end of the ZOOM session for those participants still on the line. All door prize providers are responsible of getting the prize to the recipient.
