 "Dan Garcia will explain what the impacts are to a proposed “split-roll” modification to Prop 13, originally passed in 1978. The ballot measure that would modify Prop 13 is planned for 2020 will increase the tax rates to commercial property owners. Dan has researched how that change will impact rents, sales and product pricing for business owners and how that might affect consumers and the business climate in Southern California."
 
Dan is from Thousand Oaks, California. His father was an accountant and his mother helped found McDonalds and Taco Bell. He is a UCLA alumnus and is still actively involved there. He is single and lives in Long Beach.

   Dan has been a Commercial Real Estate practitioner since 2000, concentrating on Retail/Commercial/ Industrial properties in the Greater Long Beach Area. He has owned several businesses, including a medical administration corporation, factories, a recording company, an import/export company and laundromats.
